A pumped storage hydroelectric facility owned and operated by FirstLight Power Resources, Northfield Mountain is a four-season recreation facility located on a 7-mile stretch of the Connecticut River on both sides of Route 63. Cross-country skiing, hiking and mountain biking on 26 miles of trails; interpretive riverboat cruises and charters, public and school environmental and recreation programs, plus a public picnic area, rentable pavilion, and camping for boaters.
